Defcon three, also called “Defcon 3” or “Round House” is basically a “Yellow Alert” level or an increase in alertness and readiness. With Defcon three (3) level the air force is in a state of readiness so that they can deploy and mobilize within 15 minutes time.
The meaning behind Defcon three (3) level is similar to that of a yellow “Caution” sign. We are prepared, cautious and in a state of military readiness.
